All people who work in Theosis projects are contracted as volunteers.

irene.JPG (4414 bytes)Irene is a full time volunteer at Kulula Life Skills Centre.  Her training as teacher helps to do the job but nothing but experience can prepare one for the ever changing environment of this area of work.

While Volunteers and Shareholders provide services to clients (or consumers of the care services), at Theosis it so happens that all three categories happen to be clients.

We can never do what has to be done for those in need of critical services (clients in need of our services), if it was not for the financial backing of shareholders whom we serve (shareholders are also clients because we serve them), and the work done by volunteers whom we serve (volunteers are also clients because we serve them).

Here is a depiction of some of the services provided to residential Volunteers

  • Recruitment and screening

  • Orientation courses

  • Skills courses

  • Board and lodging (optional)

  • Social services

  • Financial compensation (pocket money)

  • Exceptional-performance bonus

  • Training

  • Internship monitoring

Non-residential volunteers provide services such as Internet work, research, fund-raising, public awareness talks, management, administration, training, etc.

You can be a volunteer--become a Theosinite...join the family
