Governments need NGOs (Non Governmental Organisations) to do the research, the footwork and to uncover neglected areas of need.  Once discovered, these needs need to be brought to the attention of the local authorities, and necessarily to the motivation of the budgeting authorities.  This takes years, in some instances, and more than often it takes a heck of a fight...but success is inevitable in the end.

Key Benefits for Society

  • Society is served information of a different kind to that which governments want the people to hear.
  • The people campaigning are passionate about their subject and will probably not let off simply because it embarrasses government.
  • A campaign may cost, say, $20 000--and once government and the public start reacting positively to it the long term results can improve millions of people's standard of living.  This is probably the most cost-effective way of making the planet a better place for all inhabitants -- we call it public education and government mobilisation.

Capabilities

Experience
Theosis has 10 years experience is campaigning and meeting statutory bodies and Govt. officials in the quest.  Our successes are not as numerous as they are impressive--and now we are only gathering steam as we learn how to also utilise the internet as well;-)
Technical ability
It is not really as impressive as it may sound but besides our other abilities we also have digital video, CD-making, printing and some photographic abilities to our credit.  We need resources though, if we are to become one of the major consciences of society, the way we plan to do.
Multi-national
Theosis operates from a multi-national front which presently includes members in western Europe, UK, USA, Southern Africa and South America.
