The Trust is registered in South Africa with the sole aim of sourcing and distributing funds to Section10f NGOs for the education of children rehabilitating from life on the street. Theosis Education Trust, being different to most educational trusts, allocates money to be used for self-employment skills training, job skills training and essential life skills training. Donors who contribute to the Trust receive tax benefits in terms of Section 18A of the Act, and can claim back from their tax amounts not greater than 5% of their taxable income. Tax certificates are (and by law must be) issued for every donation received. The Trust is audited annually and must satisfy the Receiver of Revenue that monies were used solely to the benefit of, and education of the abovementioned beneficiaries.
